It's OVER For 'Hangman' Adam Page After Devastating AEW Revolution 2026 Loss (AEW News)

Adam Page can never challenge for the AEW World Title again!

Adam Page will never be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship again in his career after suffering a loss to a Terry Funk-inspired MJF at AEW Revolution last night.

Going into this Texas Death Match main event, Hangman knew that, per the stipulation, this would be his last ever shot at the AEW World Title were he to come up short, and that's exactly what happened.

Fully living up to expectations, this Texas Death offering featured a wide array of violence and weapons, including glass, barbed wire, a staple gun, a dog collar chain, and, of course, a hypodermic needle.

By the time all was said and done, MJF was left standing tall after 46 minutes of brutal back-and-forth action, culminating in the Salt of the Earth choking out Page over the top rope with the dog collar chain. Post-match, Hanger was put on a stretcher, only for MJF to jump on that stretcher and stand over Page as Revolution went off the air.

So, Adam Page can never challenge for the AEW World Title for the rest of his career... in theory. Of course, AEW could always get around that down the line by having Page win the Owen Hart Tournament or a Casino Battle Royal/Gauntlet, where the winners earn themselves a World Title shot, but, for now, Hangman is firmly out of the AEW World Championship mix for the foreseeable future.

For MJF, this marks a sixth successive defence of the AEW World Title, with Max's second reign atop the AEW men's division now on the cusp of hitting 80 days.
