Jade Cargill's backstage issues in WWE reportedly stemmed from blaming other wrestlers and being "disrespectful" after problems in matches.

This is per Dave Meltzer, who broke news of a backstage confrontation between Cargill and Shayna Baszler in last week's Wrestling Observer, citing multiple sources.

In the latest Observer, Meltzer writes that after "[blaming] others for problems in matches", Cargill was approached by Baszler, who wanted to talk to Jade about it. With Sean Ross Sapp reporting last week that Cargill had told Basler to learn how to work, Meltzer added, in the Observer, that Cargill was pointing to a bruise on her arm. Shayna responded to Jade by saying "if she was shooting that you and I would both know."

With the situation described as "not a one person deal", Baszler's talk with Cargill didn't help. Cargill ended up getting in Shayna's face, according to an eyewitness, and Baszler wasn't backing down. Another WWE talent saw the situation and diffused it along with management. Cargill and Baszler were then moved away from one another, with "nothing else of significance" happening afterwards.

In the latest report, Meltzer cites a "lack of understanding" in Cargill asking for the 2024 holiday tour off, as she wasn't aware that WWE had considered this one of the year's major tours in the past. Jade was then injured in November. As the former Women's Tag Team Champion had already asked for the holiday tour off, this created the impression that Jade's injury wasn't legitimate, though Meltzer reiterates that it was.

Cargill filming a Mountain Dew commercial while out of action added further fuel to the fake injury flames.

Jade has been amongst the most heavily-pushed wrestlers on the WWE roster since joining the promotion. Currently, she is active on SmackDown, where Naomi has been revealed as the mystery attacker who put her out of action in November.
