JBL Says El Grande Americano Should STAY In AAA (WWE News)

WWE legend calls Ludwig Kaiser's alter ego "the biggest star in Mexico right now".

WWE legend JBL would like to see Ludwig Kaiser stay put in AAA under his El Grande Americano guise rather than return to Raw or SmackDown. Layfield told Busted Open Radio (reported via @WrestlePurists on X) that Americano is "the biggest star in Mexico right now, and that is amazing".

He'd fully encourage Kaiser to "ride this AAA wave".

Ludwig's version of El Grande is fresh off a 'Mask vs. Mask' win over Chad Gable, who played the original American, at AAA's Noche de los Grandes event on 30 May. Together, they worked a pulsating 33-minute effort that culminated with Kaiser's El Grande winning then Gable unmasking to officially hand the gimmick over to Ludwig for good.

JBL liked what he was seeing from both men, but he reckons Kaiser should do everything in his power to remain in Mexico where he's fully appreciated and over. The Hall Of Famer acknowledged that he doesn't "have any insight about this", but AAA is expected to bag a lucrative TV deal soon.

He believes Kaiser will want to (and deserves to) be a part of that process should it happen: "You want to be the biggest star on this new deal and be one of the reasons that they brought it to you? I think that's an opportunity that's just too good to pass up. I would stay down in Mexico. He can make a fortune down in Mexico".

In closing, JBL added: "They have adopted that man and my advice would be to stay where it's good".
