Jeff Jarrett Interview: "My World" Success, Starting In Podcasting, TNA Stars In WWE & More
Those who are enjoying the current "Forbidden Door" stuff with AEW have to remember TNA was doing it years ago with a lot of that same talent as well.
Jarrett: And it wasn't new then, either. When my contract expired, I left. During the Attitude Era, it was the beginning of guaranteed money and everything that went with it. A lot of people remember that era because it was such an intense rivalry and war, but prior to that, New Japan and WCW worked together. Vince has worked with Memphis and the startup promotion SWS in Japan. Things like that have gone down through the years. The Forbidden Door has been around for years and years.
Lastly, do you have a favorite episode of "My World" that you and Conrad have recorded so far?
Jarrett: Wow, any one episode? The perception of the overall Double J career has been unique. Conrad has said, and he's so good at what he does, but he's said that, “Jeff, it may not be important to you, but don't think that and keep your mouth shut. Just free-flow and let it roll and let us decide if it's important or not.” There's been little tidbits on the story of me “holding up Vince McMahon.” Conrad did three episodes on the foundation and early beginning of TNA. That was three months ago. I still get feedback from folks that didn't know TNA or didn't watch it that are engaged.
The Hogan one, the Vince one, the Austin one. Many people over the years have asked me to do the proverbial shoot interview. I had no interest in that. Telling the story behind the story and all the stories connect because they're all coming from my world, no pun intended. There's not any one that stands out, but you can look at the YouTube views and the feedback on the downloads and there's a lot of them that went through the roof in so many ways.
