Jerry Lawler's 10 Most Outrageous Moments In WWE

4. The King Goes Too Far

During a promo on Raw, Jerry was 'shootin' from the hip about his old pal Dusty Rhodes' son, Dustin. Runnels, who was playing the Goldust character at the time, was the target of one of the most vicious promos in WWE history where Lawler referred to The Bizarre One as a 'flaming f*g'. The racy monologue took place duing the height of The Attitude Era in the lead up to King and Dust's King of the Ring qualifying match. Even by the standards of those days, The King's homophobic slurs went way past the mark. Jerry was famous for his scathing attacks during the 90s before the 'puppy' loving comedic commentator was born. Some will argue the he was merely doing his job as a heel by using sexual orientation in a demeaning manner but the brutality of his words cut deep into certain sections of society. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aWKM-UZD3E
