Jerry Lawler's 10 Most Outrageous Moments In WWE

3. Jerry Invades ECW

This took place during June of 1997, just before Raven left ECW for WCW. The future leader of The Flock, had come out on top on numerous occasions during this most storied of rivalries against his childhood friend Tommy Dreamer. However, Dreamer would finally pick up the win that sent the sell-out to Ted Turner's organisation. During this period, ECW had entered into a working agreement with the WWF which saw them provide talent for Vince McMahon and even 'invade' Monday Night Raw. Jerry was the most vocal critic of ECW, labelling it a 'rinky dink' promotion and 'Extremely Crappy Wrestling' which made it all the more shocking that he would seemingly risk life and limb by appearing in the ECW Arena. Shortly after Dreamer pinned Raven the lights went out. When they came back up RVD was in the ring wearing a "WWF Monday Night Raw" shirt. He attacked Dreamer with a steel chair but just as Tommy was about to get the best of him, the lights went out again. This time Sabu appeared and also attacked Dreamer. For a third time the lights went out, and when they came back up Lawler was in the ring. The crowd at the ECW Arena went absolutely wild while RVD and Sabu defended The King. Jerry proceeded to insult the arena anything and everything he could. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19st0_jerry-lawler-invades-ecw_school
