Jey Uso Shocks The World At WWE Royal Rumble 2025 (WWE News)
Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair win big at WWE Royal Rumble 2025.

In a move that few saw coming, Jey Uso is your 2025 men's Royal Rumble winner.
Last night's Royal Rumble Premium Live Event saw Jey last eliminate John Cena to win the titular men's match, earning himself a World Title shot at WWE WrestleMania 41. Uso entered the match at #20 and had a 36-minute run that scored three eliminations - those being Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, and Cena.
While the post-PLE media scrum saw 'Main Event' Jey Uso talk up the possibility of facing either World Heavyweight Champion Gunther or Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at this year's Showcase of the Immortals, Uso did seem to favour getting one more shot at the Ring General come 'Mania. Of course, WWE programming has recently talked up how Gunther has constantly got the better of Jey Uso, with Uso notably losing to the Imperium man at the latest Saturday Night's Main Event, in last year's King of the Ring tournament, and also at several points when Gunther reigned as the Intercontinental Champion.
It goes without saying, this is the biggest night in the singles career of Jey Uso, with this eclipsing his short Intercontinental Title run from last year. Likewise, for Uso, this ranks up there with his WrestleMania 39 headline spot where he teamed with his brother Jimmy against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in the Night 1 main event.

Charlotte Flair, Two-Time Royal Rumble Winner
Whereas it was something fresh, bold, and new in having Jimmy Uso win the men's Royal Rumble, it was very much a more predictable formula for the women's match, with the returning Charlotte Flair becoming the first woman to win two Rumbles.
Charlotte entered at the coveted #27 spot, eliminating Michin, Piper Niven, Nia Jax, and lastly Roxanne Perez to earn herself a WrestleMania 41 title shot. This was the Queen's first match since December 2023, with her having been on the sidelines due to extensive knee surgery.
Of course, many have predicted that Flair and WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton could face off at WrestleMania 41, with Stratton being extremely open about wanting to one day wrestle Charlotte, to one day go one-on-one with her at a WrestleMania, and has even cited Charlotte Flair as being an inspiration for her wanting to get into the wrestling business in the first place.
Elsewhere at the 2025 Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in a brutal ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, while WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY got the better to the Motor City Machine Guns thanks to some shenanigans from the Street Profits.
