Jinder Mahal was back on WWE Raw for the first time in over a year last night, bringing main roster newcomers Veer and Shanky with him.

A backstage promo saw Mahal introduce the audience to Veer and the towering Shanky ahead of his match with Jeff Hardy. The bout came immediately afterwards and lasted a little over three minutes, with Mahal putting his opponent away via Khallas, making this a winning Raw return.

Mahal's last Raw match was on 27 April 2020, when he wrestled Akira Tozawa in a comeback bout after 10 months on the sidelines with a knee injury. It was a short-lived comeback, however, with Jinder forced to go under the knife again that May, putting his career on ice until January 2021.

Returning at Superstar Spectacle, the former WWE Champion sat out for another three months before returning on last week's episode of Main Event. Jinder defeated Hardy there as well, aligning with Veer (the former Rinku Singh of Indus Sher) and Shanky (who debuted at Superstar Spectacle) in the process.

WWE is yet to announce a name for Jinder's new Raw crew.
