John Cena’s 10 Other Moves Of Doom

2. Super AA

The AA/FU is John Cena's most devastating move in his 'five moves of doom'. It’s a fireman's carry takeover: John kneels on one knee and simultaneously grabs hold of one of his opponent's thighs, pulling his opponent on top of his shoulders and rising up to throw them down to the mat back-first.

In kayfabe you could argue Cena’s finisher has been weakened to a point where a single AA almost never gets the job done. Most of the time it will take 3 AAs or more. So he created the avalanche Attitude Adjustment (or Super AA) which he’s performed on The Miz, Finn Bálor and Randy Orton through a table. A move becomes an ‘avalanche’ move when it’s performed from the middle or top rope, like when AJ Styles performs the Avalanche Styles Clash he hits it from the middle rope. Cena made the Super AA famous all the way back in 2007 in a match with Bobby Lashley. When Lashley tried to position Cena on the top rope in an attempted superplex, Cena surprised Lashley and made the crowd gasp when he delivered a final FU from the top rope and fell on Lashley for the victory.

Cena’s avalanche variation of his AA provided some much needed finality to his matches. It has much more force behind it due to gravity giving the impact extra dominance. It was another variation of the AA on top of the Rolling Attitude Adjustment he mastered and incorporated into his matches too. Welcome additions to John’s moveset.
