John Cena's 7 Night Of Champions Matches From Worst To Best
6. 2007 Vs. Booker T, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, And Mick Foley
John Cena walked into the 2007 edition of this show as the WWE Champion. Thanks to Interim General Manager Jonathan Coachman, he had five opponents vying for his title. The "Vince McMahon died in an exploding limo" storyline happened earlier in the week, along with the very real and horrific Benoit tragedy the day after this, so this was a really strange event to try and put into a historical context.
Despite the large number of participants in this match, John Cena was able stay as the main focus throughout most of it. The announcers also kept reminding viewers that he did not have his traditional champion's advantage. Bobby Lashley seemed to get the worst in regards to physicality in this one. Cena gave him an FU through an announce table and Mick Foley's best connecting chair shot was against Bobby's head. Cena won the match after giving an FU to Mick Foley.
While this didn't come across as an epic showdown or anything, it was a very enjoyable near-20 minute match that felt like a nonstop showcase of signature moves.
