John Cena's Best WWE Matches Ever (... According To The Internet)
4. John Cena Vs. Brock Lesnar Vs. Seth Rollins, Royal Rumble 2015 -- Rating: 9.29
Fans were stunned when Brock Lesnar decimated John Cena at SummerSlam 2014, winning the WWE Title in one of the most one-sided championship matches in company history. Still, Cena followed his code of "Never give up," pursuing Lesnar doggedly until earning a rematch at the 2015 Royal Rumble.
Many were curious to see if Cena would be able to put up more of a fight this time, but weeks before the match, the very complexion of it was changed when Seth Rollins -- the reigning Money in the Bank briefcase holder -- was added to the bout. This disappointed the majority of fans, who wanted to see a straight one-on-one match between Cena and Lesnar with a clear winner.
There turned out to be no need to worry -- the triple threat match was one of the wildest brawls in WWE history and the only bright spot on a terrible show. Cena tackled Lesnar through the barricade, Lesnar suplexed Cena and Rollins into oblivion, and Rollins nearly took Lesnar out (and actually broke his ribs) with an elbow drop through the announcers' table. In the end, Lesnar retained the title after hitting an F5 on Rollins.
