Though John Cena's match with The Rock at WrestleMania 28 was supposed to be "Once in a Lifetime," circumstances soon set the stage for a rematch -- Rock defeated CM Punk for the WWE Championship, while Cena won the Royal Rumble match.

Everything was building up to Rock-Cena II -- unless CM Punk had his way. The furious ex-champion wanted a spot in the main event at WrestleMania, and so he challenged Cena for his number one contender's ranking on Raw. Expectations were high, as Cena and Punk had amazing chemistry, but even the loftiest visions were exceeded by a TV classic that stunned viewers.

Today, the match is best remembered for its piledriver -- Punk delivered the manoeuvre to Cena despite the fact that it had been banned for over 10 years, and both men were reportedly fined over the incident. Still, there was much more to the match than a single move, with Cena beating a very close countout at one point, and both men playing their roles expertly. In the end, Cena scored a rare win over Punk, retaining his spot in WrestleMania 29's main event.
