Only days from AEW’s Fyter Fest taking place at Daytona Beach’s Ocean Centre, one of the show’s most intriguing matches has had a stipulation added to it.

For Jon Moxley’s AEW in-ring debut, his bout against Joey Janela has now been made a non-sanctioned affair. In a video announcement, AEW explained that this change was due to Moxley and Janela’s “propensity for violence”.

Of course, way before Moxley achieved superstardom as Dean Ambrose in the WWE, he had amassed a cult following for his hardcore antics in promotions such as CZW and IWA. Likewise, Janela has followed suit in recent years; himself becoming a favourite of many fans due to his love of hardcore wrestling.

The main Fyter Fest card is due to start at 8:30pm ET this Saturday, with the event airing on Bleacher Report Live in North America and available through Fite TV in other markets.

In addition to Moxley vs. Janela, the event also sees The Young Bucks teaming with Kenny Omega to take on The Lucha Bros. and Laredo Kid, whilst Cody Rhodes, Adam Page, MJF, and SoCal Uncensored are just some of the AEW names in action.
