Jordynne Grace has announced a fundraiser for the Concussion Legacy Foundation in the wake of the negative response to her tweets on Chris Benoit last week.

The reigning IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion posted the following in a since-deleted tweet:-

"This is gonna be the coldest take I ever tweet on this app. I already know y’all gonna be mad. I don’t think Benoit could 100% hang with most of the present day best wrestlers. He would not be able to remember matches. Also may he burn in hell, amen."

This drew a divided response from Twitter users, wrestling fans and people within the business, leading to Grace issuing an apology for what she has described as "an irresponsible and unnecessary tweet."

On Monday, Jordynne stated that amongst the people she reached out to privately were Benoit's son, David, as well as Chris Jericho and Chavo Guerrero, who have shown support for her CTE fundraiser. Grace has pledged $5,000 of her own money, helping toward a $20,000 target:-

Those who wish to contribute to Grace's fundraiser can do so via Classy.

Guerrero, who was amongst the group that criticised Grace's initial tweet, has now shown public support:-

Chris Benoit died by suicide on 24 June 2007, having murdered his wife Nancy and their seven-year-old son Daniel in their family home. Nancy's sister, Sandra Toffoloni, has claimed that she wasn't contacted about the fundraiser:-
