Josh Alexander Signs With AEW (AEW News)
Josh Alexander is #AllElite

With plenty of speculation about his future once he departed TNA earlier this year, Josh Alexander has signed with AEW.
The Walking Weapon wrapped up with TNA in February, with him keen to test the free agency waters. Reports suggested that both AEW and WWE had notable interest in the hugely talented Canadian, with rumblings later that month that AEW was starting to look like the most likely landing spot for Alexander. And prior to yesterday's AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru, AEW President Tony Khan took to X to announce that Josh Alexander was officially #AllElite and that he'd be making his debut in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament as the men's wildcard.
It’s official: @Walking_Weapon is ALL ELITE!

As for that Owen match, it pitted Josh Alexander up against 'Hangman' Adam Page.
While he looked extremely impressive in his 13 minutes against Page, Alexander ultimately came up short, with Hangman catching a 1-2-3 with a cradle. Post-match, we had a tease of the two-time TNA World Champion joining the Callis Family as he joined a Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher attack on Page.

Josh Alexander
Having made his debut in 2005, Josh Alexander would work his way through the Canadian independent scene, where he'd soon start teaming with Ethan Page. Going by the Monster Mafia name, that tandem would eventually start to compete further afield for more notable promotions such as ROH and PWG.
2015 saw Alexander forced into retirement due to a broken neck, although the 37-year-old has regularly called that one of the best things to ever happen to his career. As Josh has detailed in various interviews over the years, having to step away from wrestling made him want to put the work in even more, with him managing to come back from what was initially viewed as a career-ending injury.
By 2018, Josh Alexander would start to work a few dates for the then-IMPACT as an enhancement talent, before he was once again joined by his old partner, Ethan Page. As the North, Alexander and Page would prove to be one of the best teams on the planet, winning the company's Tag Team Titles on two occasions. When Page departed IMPACT in 2021 - to join AEW, coincidentally - Alexander started to gain some traction in the singles ranks, winning the promotion's prestigious X Division Championship, and, as mentioned, holding the IMPACT/TNA World Title twice. In fact, Josh is the longest-reigning World Champion in the history of the Anthem organisation, with his second reign lasting an impressive 335 days and only coming to an end after he was forced to vacate the gold due to a triceps tear.
In Josh Alexander, AEW has landed itself one of the finest bell-to-bell workers in the business.
