4. Kane vs Stone Cold Steve Austin - King Of The Ring 1998
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dmYQm01D3U Having defeated the Undertaker to get a shot at Austin's title, Kane was backed by Mr. McMahon as the key man to defeat his mortal enemy. It was ultimately booked as a first blood match, giving Kane a distinct advantage due to his mask. Because of the danger posed to Austin going into the event, there was already a great deal of drama. There was a real reason to believe Austin might lose. The match is an intense brawl, and the two men complimented each others style extremely well. Kane's heavy, brutal offense mixed well with Austin's down and dirty brawling. And with the great story going into the match, Kane and Austin were also able to create an underlying sense of dread. As Mr. McMahon watched from his private box high above, it seemed as though Austin was in deep trouble. Indeed, as the cage for the hell in the cell match earlier in the night mysteriously began to lower, the live crowd were treated to a shocking sight. Austin's defeat at the hands of Kane was a pivotal moment for his rivalry against McMahon, as it gave Austin something to chase. And even though he won the title back the next night, still a somewhat questionable decision, Kane's initial WWE Championship victory is a quality match.
