Kane's story arc is seriously bizarre. Everyone knows this of course, but good lord is it worth remembering from time to time. In 1998 Kane joined The Corporation, purely out of fear of being thrown into an insane asylum. The Corporation then threw him out, for reasons I can only assume amount to bullying. Kane then got himself a girlfriend (Tori) and a new best friend, X-Pac.

Looking back, these two still don't make sense as partners whatsoever. Kane was long cold as a singles competitor, and X-Pac was X-Pac. It is a clear sign as to the state of the tag team titles that soon after coming together the duo won the gold from Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. They would get two runs, the second of which came to an end at the hands of Big Show and Undertaker, two other men that Kane would win tag gold with.

One positive that came out of this run was that Kane started speaking. His first words? "Suck it."

The Attitude Era was pretty terrible.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
