After being moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com over the weekend, Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bodeaux's WWE contracts have now expired - and Kross has already discussed his unhappiness with recent contract negotiations.

With the second part of Kross' The Killer documentary released last night - on the same day his and Scarlett's WWE contracts expired - that Part 2 finds Kross venting his frustrations about recent contract talks.

In the footage, Kross reveals that he reached out to WWE in early January to communicate that he was looking to negotiate a new deal for himself and Scarlett, but that further discussions on the matter didn't happen until "recently" and were not of any substance.

As the former NXT Champion explained (via f4wonline):

"Many months have gone by, and we never had a single conversation about it until recently, and I don't even feel like the conversation I've had recently was, like, an actual serious one. The conversation made me really angry, because I just didn't feel like it was a real conversation. There really wasn't anything that was discussed of real substance. Actually, it didn't make me angry, and it didn't make me upset. It just profoundly disappointed me, because I think about this business probably different than the person I was speaking to, because of the nature of what I do."

Whilst fans continue to speculate that Karrion Kross and Scarlett's WWE exits are a work, part of an elaborate storyline, Fightful Select reports that the situation appears legitimate, unless WWE has taken measures they've not previously done with such situations. WWE sources told the outlet that they were surprised at how things came down to the wire with all of this.

Given that the pair's contracts have naturally expired, that means that Kross and Scarlett are now completely free agents who are able to appear for any other wrestling promotion as of today.

Of course, there is still a possibility that this is all a work, that Kross and Scarlett have quietly re-signed with WWE, and this is all being leaned into for a wider storyline. In fact, Fightful notes how certain other wrestling companies are unsure about reaching out to the two due to not knowing if they are indeed really free agents.
