Could Karrion Kross be looking to reboot The Final Testament with a recently-released AEW act?

That's what many rushed to decide when he posted a video of himself staring into the middle distance as the strains of The Righteous' theme music played in the background.

It didn't go unnoticed by the men themselves - both Vincent and Dutch replied to the post, with the finger click and musical note emojis respectively.

It's the latest intriguing act from Kross, who continues to generate buzz on social media despite no obvious significant storyline direction in WWE outside of a passing and somewhat oblique involvement in AJ Styles' WrestleMania 41 feud with Logan Paul. Kross aimed to help 'The Phenomenal One' cheat at the 'Show Of Shows', but had his offer rejected, and has returned to playing the devil on various wrestlers' shoulders since. Either side of that appearance in Vegas, he cut a rousing promo ahead of his Bloodsport XIII match with J. R. Kratos and then delivered a worked shoot speech that went viral during a Sam Roberts post-WrestleMania podcast. A documentary covering that week in his life has been critically acclaimed too.

The Righteous requested and were granted their release by Tony Khan this month, and Kross was quick to fold them into whatever he's currently working on in the aftermath of that report. The pair landed in Ring of Honor prior to Khan's 2022 purchase, initially led by Vincent. Dutch joined the group later, and the pair competed mostly on ROH programming with occasional appearances on AEW Collision and Rampage.

They worked AEW WrestleDream 2023, losing a ROH Tag Team Championship handicap match to MJF, who worked solo due to the injury sustained by Better Than You Bay-Bay partner Adam Cole. Short of a brief alliance with Jake Roberts and Lance Archer, the pair were somewhat forgotten creatively, and the pair requesting their releases came as little surprise.
