As part of the ongoing saga involving Mustafa Ali's request to be granted his WWE release, the talented star's latest comment on the matter has been responded to by new AEW signee Keith Lee.

In case you missed it, Ali took to Twitter to say he'll "see ya all in like 2 1/2 years", indicating that he has two-and-a-half years left on his WWE contract. Ever a genuine ray of positivity on social media, Limitless replied to inform Ali to keep his head up.

For Ali, he went public last month to let the world know he'd requested his WWE release. Unfortunately for the former RETRIBUTION leader, that request has so far been denied. Since then, the Chicago native has posted several tweets to reiterate how he wants out of Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut.

While WWE is seemingly adamant that Mustafa Ali will not be released by the promotion, the organisation has released over 100 wrestlers across the past 18 months or so. Of course, one of those was Keith Lee.

Having hugely impressed in NXT, Big Keith was completely bungled upon being called to the main roster. An outfit change, a music change, and even a gimmick change (hey, Bearcat!) were given to Lee, and it was sadly no real surprise to see Limitless amongst those let go by WWE this past November.

With his WWE 90-day non-compete clause having recently expired, AEW wasted no time in signing up Keith, as he officially became #AllElite on last week's AEW Dynamite. Keeping things simple, AEW let Keith Lee do Keith Lee things while looking and acting like Keith Lee. And you know what, it worked brilliantly, as the former NXT Champion looked to be having a blast as he bested Isiah Kassidy to earn himself a spot in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at next month's AEW Revolution PPV.
