SmackDown commentator Kevin Patrick is "out" of the blue brand play-by-play chair with immediate effect.
This is per a story that broke on social media that confirmed that the former Raw commentator and backstage reporter would no longer be at the desk in the position he's held since August 2023.
Aaron Varble of SEScoops broke the news with the following post on X;

Patrick's move to SmackDown last summer came following just under a year in the same spot on Monday Night Raw. Michael Cole had worked both shows for much of Patrick's tenure on Fridays, though per the original post there's no news yet of if he'll now perform play-by-play duties on both shows going forward.
Patrick has been with WWE since 2021, though also provides football commentary for AppleTV+, Fox Sports and CNN under his real name of Kevin Egan. There's no further news yet on what his primary WWE role may be going forward.
