Kofi Kingston's Tag Team Partners Ranked - From Worst To Best

2. Evan Bourne

They were somewhat thrown together as a team, but Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne did more than any other ramshackle team in memory to try and create a semblance of unity. Bourne and Kingston quickly began to match the colour of their gear, a theoretically simple move that makes huge difference in tag team wrestling. Don't ask me why, it just does.

The duo also took to Twitter to appeal to fans for a team name. Anyone could enter a suggestion by using the hashtag 'Evanandkofi', and despite choosing to ignore such diamonds as 'Altitude Era', 'Flight Club' and 'Ghana Fly Now' (I sh*t thee nay), they settled on 'Air Boom'.

Air Boom defeated the legendary duo of David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty for the WWE Tag Team Titles and would hold the straps for an impressive 149 days, managing to avoid losing them via Bourne suspension among other things. They couldn't survive a second suspension however, and eventually dropped the titles to Primo & Epico.

Bourne's discretions ultimately cost the duo, but their run is remembered fondly by most. Still, the nostalgia would be even greater if they'd actually gone with Ghana Fly Now.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
