If you are reading this article and felt that any other of Kofi Kingston's partnerships might top this list, then I dare say you haven't paid much attention to World Wrestling Entertainment in the last year or so. For a while last year The New Day were far and away the most entertaining thing on WWE TV, and whilst they have cooled off somewhat they have still been successful enough to break the record for longest WWE Tag Team Championship reign, passing London & Kendrick this past Wednesday.

It could have been oh so different however, if WWE creative had continued ploughing the overly positive babyface path that The New Day originally seemed to take. Allowing them to turn heel gave Kofi Kingston a whole new lease of life, and it could be argued that the team has resurrected the Ghanaians career.

They may be a trio, but the overwhelming majority of in-ring tag matches have involved Kofi teaming with Big E., and the duo have become forged quite the understanding. It was also their teaming that got Xavier Woods involved in the first place, although he was wearing a white suit and had a questionable moustache at the time.

With The New Day at the helm the WWE tag division has also been somewhat resurrected, and whilst they can't take all the credit their lengthy reign with the belts has added a legitimacy that was missing somewhat beforehand.

Most miraculously of all however, the power of positivity may just have breathed new life into the possibility of an eventual Kofi Kingston main event singles push. The dream lives on...
