Kurt Angle To WWE: 7 Great Potential Matches For His Return
7. Jack Swagger
When you consider that Swagger isn't in a position where he could be considered a top guy, this would be a match that could take place on an episode of Raw. The reason it makes sense is because Swagger has used Angle's "Ankle Lock" submission hold (originally used by Ken Shamrock in WWE) that they have renamed the "Patriot Lock." Swagger's also somebody with an amateur wrestling background like Angle. Swagger's always been a guy that has reminded people of Angle although he's a bigger guy. He's always wrestled in the singlets much like Angle and by giving him Angle's finisher as well it was WWE's way of trying to have him emulate Kurt. They would need to build Swagger up a bit if Angle comes in and they do this match so that fans can take him as more of a serious threat. It wouldn't be bad as a return feud for Angle just to get him back in the win column against a heel. Plus, with Zeb Colter at Swagger's side ranting about being a "Real American" it would make a lot of sense to have Angle, an American Hero (at least in terms of his gimmick), answer a challenge.
