In some unfortunate news, WWE's Liv Morgan suffered a shoulder injury on last night's episode of Raw.

Morgan was wrestling Kairi Sane on this latest outing for WWE's red brand, and things went awry after Kairi grabbed Liv for a standard takedown. The Judgment Day member grabbed her arm upon landing on the mat, then immediately rolled out of the ring as Raw went to a commercial break.

When Raw returned from break, Michael Cole announced that Liv Morgan had suffered a dislocated shoulder and the match had been called off, resulting in a default win for Kairi Sane.

As per PWInsider, this injury is a very real, legitimate one, and not simply part of some storyline. Liv was checked out by WWE medical personnel when she got backstage, and WWE is now waiting to learn just how severe this dislocation is.

If this injury is a severe shoulder dislocation, this could mean that Morgan will be out of action for up to 16 weeks, essentially four months. Again, though, that might not be the case, depending on the severity of the dislocation.

This PWInsider report also notes that there is no heat whatsoever on anyone for this injury, and that it is seen as just a freak accident.

It was previously believed that Liv Morgan would be wrestling Nikki Bella in some capacity at WWE Evolution next month, with Liv having hit her Oblivion finish on Bella last Monday after confronting the WWE Hall of Famer and interrupting her promo. With reports that Brie Bella has been in talks for an imminent WWE return, there has been plenty of speculation that the Bella Twins could challenge Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at Evolution, though obviously that seems unlikely given how that PLE is just is now less than a month away (July 13).

This injury setback comes only a matter of weeks after Liv Morgan returned to WWE after taking a hiatus to shoot Takeshi Miike's Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo in Japan last month. While WWE opted to not strip Liv and Raquel of their WWE Tag Team Championships during that break, it remains to be seen whether the company will now be forced to do that, depending on how serious this injury is for Morgan.

From all of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling, here's hoping for a swift and full recovery for Liv Morgan and that she doesn't have to spend too much time on the sidelines.
