Major Turn At AEW Revolution 2022

Huge twist in one of AEW's most compelling ever tales.

Wardlow appeared to at long last turn on his employer MJF at the thrilling climax of the latter's bloody Dog Collar Match with CM Punk at AEW Revolution 2022.

Punk looked doomed when MJF made the call for Wardlow to arrive, Dynamite Diamond Ring in hand as he had at the conclusion of the first encounter between the two on the February 2nd edition of Dynamite.

Unfortunately for the 'Salt Of The Earth', 'The Wardog' appeared to have mislaid the weapon. In the time it took for him to "lose" it, CM Punk recovered to take back control. It was at this point that The Pinnacle bodyguard conveniently located it and left it behind on the canvas for Punk to land the decisive blow.

It completed a victorious night for Wardlow having won the 'Face Of Revolution' ladder match earlier in the night.

The scene served as a gripping finale to the epic 25 minute double juice rematch and, presumably, the Punk/MJF programme. The feud has served as a trojan horse for the Wardlow turn from the very beginning, and it remains to be seen now exactly how much AEW will lean into that in the coming weeks.
