Fightful Select is reporting that regular AEW heat magnet MJF was approached by a fan who tried to attack him following Wednesday's special Grand Slam Mexico edition of Dynamite. The heel was apparently hot about Friedman's unmasking angle with Mexican star Mistico on the show, and they decided to take matters into their own hands.

Thankfully, MJF was unharmed, but Fightful noted that he "laughed the situation off and was proud of it" afterwards. Anyone who knows anything about the All Elite star wouldn't be too shocked if Friedman took the altercation as a compliment - on Dynamite, he got disqualified during his bout with Mistico, then ripped the former WWE man's mask off and donned it himself.

Of course, to elaborate on the WWE thing, Mistico was previously the original Sin Cara. He debuted in that company back in 2011, but failed to hit the heights expected of him and never really seemed to settle or find his groove on the WWE roster.

Fightful Select broke the news about this attempted attack on their Dynamite post-show. They noted that "it's still real to some" and that MJF "got a good amount of heat" for his antics at Grand Slam Mexico. To say the least!

Wrestling fans have chimed in with some comments applauding MJF's work and saying he clearly takes a lot of pride in being one of the best pure heels in the industry on his day. This is just further proof of that, but so-called fans trying to physically attack pro wrestlers should always be discouraged.

Again, it's a good thing that Friedman is alright.
