The Most Insane Wrestling Lore HIDDEN On The Internet

3. Karrion Kross' History

Karrion Kross
WWE

Nobody bought into and believed the mythology - whatever, specifically that was - of Karrion/Killer Kross more so than Karrion/Killer Kross himself. And to be absolutely fair to him, that's the way it should be.

Wrestling is a uniquely insecure industry in which everybody somehow needs to present the veneer of complete and utter confidence in every single they do whilst also staying humble, slightly paranoid and desperate to do more even if they've become rich beyond their wildest dreams and/or achieve every dream they ever had when they somehow elected to start falling hard on their back for a living. It's an impossible job, really; certainly one in which more fail than succeed. Backing yourself, outwardly or quietly (depending on what the lay of the land happens to be that day) is crucial, and Kross always did. Especially in WWE, where any credibility and kudos you may have attained could potentially fall off a cliff at a moment's notice.

Kross even fought for himself long after others had given up, losing and regaining work with the market leader either side of Vince McMahon resigning in disgrace in 2022. He'd been badly botched on the main roster and cut in 2021 following a heavily-produced (and heavy-handed) roll-out in 2020, and his comeback only ever got him cult acclaim before his 2025 departure. Per Kross' incredibly-detailed "Origins" section of his website, the character will always exist regardless of the market leader's presence.

His background goes beyond the superhuman...

According to various research and lore collected, Kross had accumulated a massive amount of wealth competing in Underground Combat Competitions for The Secret Wealth themselves amongst the exiles of society. It is speculated that he was discovered by them at a time where he was wagering large bets in his youth to gambling communities that he could punch through concrete blocks.

...into the wider world...

Word travelled fast about Kross in great haste, but much of it was kept a secret within controlled channels for fear that if an individual like this was discovered in existence of competition settings; the changes that could take place following his discovery could be ill-favoured to the ones in current power. Their concerns were FEAR based. And out of their fear...An unexpected event occurred. A Cult Following quickly emerged in Kross's Name amongst those who saw a truth undeniable to them.

And beyond the superhuman and wider world into something perhaps not of this earth...

Rumours of the supernatural have always circulated around Killer Kross pertaining to his colossal physical abilities, his inhuman constitution for withstanding damage and his eerie affinity to acquire a surplus of confidential information on people, places and things.People have described him as a seemingly empty sinister ghost at times and yet an all consuming in the same hand...

...or indeed of this timeline.

Detailing more information on Killer Kross has been challenging...He is very much an evasive figure... And yet very much all around us at the same time... perhaps as a premonition of The End Times itself.

Soaking all this up, it stands to reason why he must have felt so deflated went sent out to the ring with ropey sub-Demolition mask to do a job to Jeff Hardy, or for that matter why he was relegated out of a match with Roman Reigns in 2022 before it even happened. There may yet be a spot for somebody like Kross somewhere else, particularly if an organisation is willing to do something with this amount of self-penned lore in a way that WWE simply never were
