Mr. Fuji: Ranking His WWE Managerial Clients From Worst To Best

12. The Berzerker

When it comes to terrible gimmicks, the 1990s have a lot to answer. Originally entering WWE as “The Viking” in 1991, John Nord became “The Berzerker” shortly afterwards, and engaged in feuds with Davey Boy Smith and Jimmy Snuka.

His preferred way to win a match was by throwing his opponents over the top rope for a count-out. That’s strange enough, but while the opponent was outside, The Berzerker was holding his wrist, licking his hand, shouting “Huss! Huss! Huss!”, then falling flat on his back. Hopefully whoever came-up with this fantastic idea was given a job for life.

The Berzerker came to WWE with Fuji by his side, although he never really looked like entering title contention. He’s most notable for attempting to stab The Undertaker with a sword during one of his early feuds, and when Mr. Fuji acquired Yokozuna’s services, he started losing interest in The Berzerker. Fuji abandoned his Viking mate shortly after the 1993 Royal Rumble, and it proved to be a savvy decision: The Berzerker left WWE a few days later.
