Roman Reigns will team with a mystery partner to face John Morrison and The Miz on tonight's episode of SmackDown, the company has confirmed.

This is a consequence of The Usos' "impeding absence" from the broadcast. One would assume that if Reigns was going to team with anyone, it'd be Jimmy or Jey, through the WWE.com writeup confirms the duo won't be in the house as SD hits Vancouver, British Columbia.

Miz and Morrison joked on Twitter that The Usos' absence was down to them not being able to get into Canada due to recent legal woes:-

Whatever the case, it'll be interesting to see who Reigns ends up siding with. Mystery partner angles are always fun in the build-up. Let's just hope WWE doesn't drop a wet fart of a reveal when SmackDown hits the airwaves.

Miz and Morrison are currently embroiled in a feud with The New Day's Big E and Kofi Kingston, with the two tandems set to contest the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Super ShowDown on 27 February.

Also on deck for tonight's SmackDown is Women's Champion Bayley defending her belt against Carmella and the long-awaited Valentine's Day date with Mandy Rose and Otis.
