New 24/7 Champion Crowned On WWE Raw

Dana Brooke finally loses title after lengthy reign, but not to who you might think.

Normally, a title change for the WWE 24/7 Championship would not merit a news item, but when you take into account that Dana Brooke was the second-longest reigning champ in the title's three-year history, that makes you take note.

Brooke has spent the past 12 weeks evading Tamina, R-Truth and Akira Tozawa with the help of former champ Reggie. The two had formed a bond that seemed last week like it was leading to a romance angle. Monday, we saw the duo out to dinner on Valentine's Day where the 24/7 geeks were in disguise, waiting for their opportunity. The effort failed, and Dana and Reggie duped them completely.

But then, Reggie asked about taking their friendship "to a new level" - because that's how you sweep someone off their feet, by asking them to like you as more than a friend after she's said no. Brooke reiterated that they were friends only and that she never meant to lead him on.

Reggie promptly rolled her up to recapture the 24/7 Championship. He said that friendship has its benefits and ran off, leaving Dana flabbergasted - and to pay the dinner tab.

The moral of the story from WWE is that if you can't convince someone to put out, get something out of the relationship for yourself.
