Kenny Omega is working hurt.

It was revealed over the weekend that not only has the former AEW World Champion been wrestling through significant shoulder issues (so bad he reportedly can't lift heavy weights), he has also been suffering from vertigo in the ring since 2018. Dave Meltzer has since come through with new information on the situation, divulging it on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Per Meltzer, Kenny is due to be examined on Wednesday. Medics will look at the 38-year-old for "a litany of things", presumably including his shoulders, having been wrestling with various issues for months now.

It was stated that while AEW would have likely said "yes" had Omega requested time off to deal with his injuries, Kenny himself wanted to stick around until it was time to put 'Hangman' Adam Page over as the new AEW World Champion. This happened at Full Gear 2021 on Saturday, when Page pinned Omega in the main event to end his 10-month reign.

Further details may not emerge until after Omega is checked out later in the week. AEW is yet to announce anything for him on tomorrow's episode of Dynamite, which Page has declared "Cowboy Sh*t Day".
