WWE's Velveteen Dream was involved in a car accident last Friday (26 June), with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp confirming that the NXT star hadn't suffered any serious injuries and was released from the hospital on the same day.

A new report from Wrestling Inc. has hit the internet with new details on what happened that afternoon. Per the writeup, Dream apparently failed to stop at a red light, leading to his car running into another. The other driver was injured, though the severity is yet to be revealed.

Dream won't have to appear in court following the incident but did receive a citation from the police.

The car accident was the latest in a string of troubling events for Dream, who is reportedly on the verge of being released by WWE. The company is yet to formally act on allegations made against the NXT wrestler through the ongoing #SpeakingOut movement, though Dream did issue a statement of his own following similar claims in April, denying accusations of inappropriate conduct.

Dream, 24, hasn't wrestled for WWE since losing a Bkaclot Brawl to NXT Champion Adam Cole at the NXT TakeOver: In Your House event on 27 May.
