New Owen Hart Documentary Slated For 2021

Martha Hart is producing it and Bret's on board...

Screen Daily leaked news on a brand new documentary about the life and career of tragic ex-WWE star Owen Hart. The film will be released by UK-based crew Kaleidoscope in "early 2021".

As the summary line suggests, Owen's wife Martha and brother Bret will both be involved in the project; Martha has signed on to produce the doc, and Bret (along with other, yet to be named, wrestlers who knew the Harts well) will appear as talking heads too.

VICE recently covered Owen's tragic death in their 'Dark Side Of The Ring' series. That episode ended up being the highest rated of the show's second season, and might be a big contributor towards the fact that VICE will run a third series.

Kaleidoscope's documentary will simply be titled 'Owen', and it promises new archival footage of the man around his family and friends. It's important to note that this is obviously not a WWE project - the company have nothing to do with it.

This is independent, just like VICE's piece.

Martha being named producer sounds promising. This could be the most definitive look at Owen's life yet.
