2. Kota Ibushi Vs. Lance Archer

A f*cking ripper of a match in a long line of them for both thus far, Kota Ibushi Vs Lance Archer brought together the dynamic bravery of the eternal babyface and the terrifying dominance of an in-form monster. Unsurprisingly, it took the roof off of the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium.

Ibushi gave everything to Archer for this, including the devastating Kamigoye for an insane closing moment. In return, the Suzuki-gun star threw himself into an Ibushi-style match to continue one of the tournament's most enjoyable arcs. Lance Archer batters everybody on his way to the ring and doesn't stop when the bell goes, but his "Everybody Dies" mantra isn't entirely accurate at this point - the 42-year-old hasn't ever looked so alive.

Smashing him full in the face with his devastating finisher, Ibushi could only look on it wide-eyed panic as Archer remained on his knees in front of him. A second one saw the 'American Psycho' slump to the mat in defeat, but this cute device rendered both Ibusi's killer finisher and Archer himself as equally deadly.
