NXT's Great American Bash was again successful in securing a higher total viewership over AEW's Fyter Fest, averaging 759,000 viewers to Dynamite's 715,000 in the second week for both specials, as confirmed as always by ShowbuzzDaily.

The key demographics followed familiar form, with AEW commanding a higher percentage in every age bracket apart from the 50+ sector. The prized 18-49 demo saw AEW post a 0.28 share (down 3% from last Wednesday) against NXT's 0.20 (down 9%).

Both events fell from the prior week, down from 792,000 for NXT and 748,000 for AEW. Showing any sort momentum for the first time this year, NXT's three-week winning streak is also their longest since the ratings battle began back in October. The black-and-gold brand has only won five of the 28 head-to-heads in 2020, with two of those back in April close enough to be considered rounding errors.

AEW will look to rebound big for viewership next week when they present another TV/Pay-Per-View hybrid with Fight For The Fallen. On the show, the returning Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Brian Cage, Cody extends his TNT Championship open challenge to Sonny Kiss, The Elite take on The Jurassic Express and FTR will wage war with The Lucha Bros. NXT's card currently includes Io Shirai defending her Women's Championship against Tegan Nox and yet another meeting between Damian Priest and Cameron Grimes.
