At first, it was tempting to suggest that Io Shirai wins the belt and dedicates her win to the memory of Hana Kimura. That's very unlikely however. WWE generally like to stay away from topics so sensitive, and putting the title on Shirai simply for sentimental reasons may seem cheap.

No, Charlotte Flair must retain.

She can play off the notion that NXT's most hardcore fans never wanted her to win the brand's Women's Title in the first place. By beating Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 36, Flair drove a dagger through some hearts, and there's no arguing that she has upset Rhea's momentum over the past few months rather than bolstered it.

WWE can play on that shoot-ish storyline thread this weekend. Charlotte can opportunistically swoop in after Ripley hits her finish on Shirai, toss Rhea out of the ring and then steal the pin on Io herself. What a bitch, what a travesty, what a rematch?
