Or, WWE might prefer to wait until next year to break Kai and González up.

If so, then they better get moving on another suitable challenger for Raquel. Xia Li would feel like an odd choice for that due to her heel status, but stranger things have happened. Plus, NXT isn't exactly blessed with oodles of kick ass faces who could step up and become a contender.

This Tian Sha thing Li has going on is one of the more interesting stories on the brand lately, so it'd be a total swerve if Mercedes Martinez picked up the victory on Sunday. No, Xia must get the win - she also has to get it decisively, then move on from Martinez ASAP.

A feud with someone like Ember Moon, who would be trending down the way in the opposite direction for now, would be a nice follow-up for this. Who knows, maybe Xia's Tian Sha movement could emerge as the perfect successor for González.
