Another year, another show where The Undertaker gets buried alive.

At Survivor Series 2003, The Undertaker was once again in a Buried Alive match, but this time it was against Vince McMahon of all people.

'Taker looked like he had the match won - because of course he did, he was fighting Vince McMahon - when his plans of victory were scuppered by his own flesh and blood.

Kane blindsided 'Taker and began laying into his brother. He dumped him into the open grave, allowing Vince McMahon to drop a load of soil onto it, win the match, and seemingly send The Undertaker packing for good.

The match was over, The Undertaker was supposedly no more, and fans couldn't believe what they had just witnessed, or that they still had to sit through a Triple H/Goldberg match.

Whilst the betrayal didn't really make much sense considering Kane had beaten the snot out of Shane McMahon in an Ambulance match earlier that night, the visual of all that earth cascading down into the grave was truly spectacular and it marked yet another transformation in The Undertaker's character.
