One MIND-BLOWING Secret From Every Year Of WWE History

2. 2023 - Vince McMahon - Allegedly - Never Went Away

Allegedly.

Allegedly.

This accusation was alleged by Ronda Rousey, who claimed on X that “Bruce Prichard is basically Vince’s avatar, if he’s still around Vince still has a hand in business. Vince was still running things through Bruce when he was “gone” before.”

Now, it was reported by various outlets that, between the TKO merger and his permanent departure, Vince was still overseeing and approving everything without fully being “in the weeds”. Brock Lesnar Vs. Omos, at WrestleMania 39, felt very much like a “Vince match” - the equivalent of letting your small child stay up late, when you have a chore that needs to be done, to give the impression of a treat.

Vince would purportedly make tweaks here and there, but Ari Emanuel in the summer of ‘23 reportedly made the choice to go with Paul Levesque. It was an astute move, even if Ari made a dumb one by siding with Vince in the first instance. Rousey’s claims collide with that narrative, however.

It should be noted that Ronda Rousey knows her way around a stupid conspiracy theory as much as she does an arm-bar, but still: something to think about.

It was…conspicuous that WWE went all in on the ‘Paul Levesque Era’ stuff at WrestleMania 40 when he’d apparently been in charge for the preceding 18 months.
