Owen - Hart Of Gold DVD Review: 14 Things You Should Know

3. The Matches

If you€™re looking for an extensive collection of some of Owen Hart€™s most high profile matches, then look no further than Hart Of Gold. There€™s some stuff from his early days and run as The Blue Blazer which highlight how acrobatic and pioneering he was back in his early days.

The WrestleMania X classic with Bret Hart is included, along with the finals of the King of the Ring against Razor Ramon. Instead of including the SummerSlam cage match, they opt to include a Lumberjack match for the WWF title from Portland a couple of weeks before the SummerSlam showdown, which turns out to be a fun match.

The European Championship match with Davey is arguably the best match on the set - it really is strangely overlooked. The Canadian Stampede 10 man showdown is on here, which gives me goosebumps to this day and truly seems like the last time The Hart Family were a unit and were all happy together.

There€™s a rare Exhibition Match included from the Public Workout in New York City right before WrestleMania XI and Edge€™s encounter with Owen from Breakdown in 1998 is here in all it€™s glory.

There€™s a good collection of Owen matches here. They do a good job showcasing what he could do in the ring, along with highlighting the moments that defined Owen as a star.
