If the film is looking to capture the most important points in Vince's life as WWE's driving force, they'll have to show how WrestleMania - his brainchild and the crowning gem in WWE's empire for more than three decades - grew out of nothing. Which means they need Hulk Hogan.

Not only was he key to Vince's 'Mania vision, his clash with Vincent J McMahon would provide further opportunity for the McMahons' clash of business ideologies, as Sr clashed with Hogan over Rocky III and Jr saw him as the showpiece attraction he needed.

And given WWE Studios' penchant for using existing WWE stars in their films, they should pay attention to the fact that they have an excellent Hulk on WWE's books already. Because John Cena does a mean Hulkster.

The film could actually skip to WrestleMania 3 to use Hulk Hogan's clash with Andre The Giant as a flash-point, given its historical relevance. It will be difficult to cast Andre The Giant, given his immediately recognisable physique, so it might be best to simply use real WWE footage in there for the match. And since WWE are on-board, there's no reason why they couldn't.

And maybe they could get Terry Crews in for a cameo as Mr T for WrestleMania 1 if they want to go that way?
