Pat McAfee has blasted wrestling fans who were happy when news leaked that he'd been written off NXT TV.

The WWE star used his radio show as a platform to vent, and specifically responded to comments made by one fan who said the company were "tired of cleaning spray tan off the canvas" anyway. That same fan remarked that Pat should "get some sun, son".

Ouch.

McAfee didn't hold back, and encouraged anyone ribbing him amidst recent reports to "get off my ass". The outspoken heel then went on to joke that he didn't see much sun in Indiana at the best of times. Not done, Pat said that it probably wasn't fair that he had to read "that NXT has just written me off of television for the rest of my life" on Christmas Day.

There's an obvious tongue-in-cheek vibe to most of McAfee's comments, but he did close the tirade by definitively saying, "f**k you, Benny Butz!".

That was the screen name of the fan who tore him to shreds in the first place. Stay tuned for more on McAfee's situation - right now, it looks like he'll be kept off NXT until the spring.
