Potential SPOILER For Danhausen's WWE Backlash 2026 Tag Team Partner (WWE News)

Some big WWE names are in the mix to team with Danhausen vs. The Miz and Kit Wilson at Backlash.

WWE Raw CM Punk

MyBookie currently has CM Punk down as the odds on favourite to team with Danhausen vs. The Miz and Kit Wilson at Backlash this Saturday in Tampa. Punk and Danhausen are friends away from the ring - their blossoming friendship began whilst both were working for AEW, and they've remained pals ever since.

Now, 'PunkHausen' could be coming to WWE PLE.

CM Punk isn't the only name listed on betting slips though. Get this: John Cena is another name being rumoured, although he's behind Punk in the running on MyBookie. Remarkably, Cena (who will play the guest host role again after fulfilling those duties at WrestleMania 42) is also just behind celeb Jelly Roll.

Yes, there are folks out there who think 'JellyHausen' is more likely than 'CenaHausen'. Arguably the least interesting of the quartet MyBookie is offering odds on is ESPN anchor Stephen A. Smith. Danhausen did appear on TV to put a curse on Smith recently, so it's possible WWE/TKO will see something in that side quest and bring it to Backlash.

Smith is probably the nightmare outcome, but some will suggest that Jelly Roll is right up there. Punk or Cena would be way more popular. However, Cena coming out of retirement after losing to Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event in December 2025 could be...risky. His retirement is still fresh in fan memories, after all.

So, realistically, there's a solid chance it'll be Punk. He has nothing else going on right now after dropping the World Heavyweight Title to Roman Reigns in Las Vegas, and he has ties to Danhausen behind the curtain. Plus, he's the only WWE full-timer on the list.
