Predicting 10 Highest WWE Earners In 2016

7. Randy Orton

Forbes had Randy Orton’s most recent earnings estimate at a whopping $2.7 million, which was enough to earn him fourth spot on their list. And they even noted that it hadn’t been a particularly spectacular year for Orton, with his salary having breached the $3 million mark in the past.

But while 2015 may have been a slight dip on previous pay checks gone by, 2016’s will likely be even lower.

Orton has, so far, spent much of the year sitting on the side lines, after further shoulder troubles in November of last year sentenced him to a nine-and-a-half month lay-off. That absence will of course have eaten into bonuses, the most notable of which being a missed WrestleMania payday.

Headlining SummerSlam will of course offset the damage somewhat, especially as his opponent will be the cross-promotional draw that is Brock Lesnar, so he’s still likely to earn a shedload this year.

The extent of that load, though, could be largely dependent on how high he features on the SmackDown card in the coming weeks and months.
