Predicting 10 WrestleMania 31 Matches Six Months Out

5. The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar The Rock Promo By his on admission, The Rock was originally slated to return to the ring at WrestleMania XXX to square off with Brock Lesnar in one of the night's marquee matches. That did not happen and, instead, Lesnar entered the SuperDome in New Orleans and ended Undertaker's storied undefeated streak and, perhaps, The Phenom's legendary career. This year, with WrestleMania taking place on the west coast and Rock already hinting that he would like to be involved in the pay-per-view extravaganza, what better way to make up for his in-ring absence last year than by having him wrestle the originally planned match? The problem is, The Rock was injured while wrestling John Cena at WrestleMania 29 and thus, is likely to want to wrestle a match that is as non-physically demanding as possible. A huge star in Hollywood, he cannot afford to delay shooting schedules or enter movie productions because he decided to go "play" for a weekend. Is Lesnar really the guy you want watching over him? The answer is not a no, it's a resounding, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin-level "Oh hell no!" Still, with WWE always looking for the next, best way to bolster the biggest card it produces all year, expect to see them do everything in their power to bring the industry icons together for a match that fans of both professional wrestling and MMA, not to mention Hollywood, would be tempted to check out.
