At Battleground, John Cena will finally get the title shot he earned at Payback, and he'll do his best to make the most of it and avenge his losses to "The Beast." Cena will train hard, with vignettes showing his weightlifting regimen and even some MMA-style grappling. Cena will assure fans that, when the match comes, he won't be a sitting duck for Lesnar. Cena will be right, but it won't be enough. Brock Lesnar will hit several big suplexes, but Cena will have the champion scouted well enough to prevent a rout - the match will be less like their encounter at SummerSlam 2014 and more like the one at Extreme Rules 2012. Cena will fight harder than he's ever fought before, matching Lesnar's wrestling acumen with hard punches and time-tested finishing moves. He'll lock Lesnar in the STF, but, in a particularly dramatic moment, the WWE Champion will make the ropes. Each man will kick out of repeated finishers by the other, but one final F5 from Lesnar will give him the win and keep the title safe.
