Predicting AEW's Next 10 Breakout Stars
6. The Hybrid 2
It is easy to forget, but Angelico and Jack Evans are also signed to AEW. Is there a more under-utilised tag team in the company? You could make an argument for Santana & Ortiz, but The Hybrid 2 haven't even had the honour of watching on as part of a prominent stable. The duo previously known as Los Gueros del Cielo has done a whole lot of nothing in AEW so far.
Will that change before it is too late? One can only hope. Angelico and Jack Evans are far too talented to rot away in the background, and it will only take one notable feud, one blow-away match or one thrilling segment to thrust them into the foreground.
This might be clutching at straws, but The Hybrid 2's relative anonymity could well work in their favour in the long run. The former Lucha Underground duo remain somewhat fresh in the eyes of the audience, and their unique style will help them stand out in the tag division.
Jack Evans has been an under-utilised star since forever, and Angelico could well be the number one grappler in the entire promotion. The sky is the limit.
