Like Money in the Bank, of course the Royal Rumble match is closing out the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event but dissimilar to MITB, it could conceivably be either the men's or women's clashes. Realistically, the Rumble with the more fan-service winner should go on last, so it's interchangeable dependent on WWE's plans for the thirty-person scuffles.

In the men's bout, shock returns and/or debuts are plentiful. The Rock will remain in the conversation for eternity. Recovery time dependent, Randy Orton and/or Big E could be in with a shout. MJF, should he choose not to renew his AEW deal, could pull off the surprise needed for a legendary Royal Rumble moment. An assortment of legends and NXT call-ups are always on the table as well, so look out for a Booker T, an X-Pac, or the tri-annual Hurricane arrival.

The women's match, meanwhile, continues to lack a satisfactory talent pool to fill a 30-woman ring, so NXT run-ins and blasts from the past are, as ever, inexorable. Michelle McCool will be there as she always is. Molly Holly will almost definitely show up. Jordynne Grace may declare herself for the match, should she indeed depart IMPACT Wrestling this May.

The point is, a Royal Rumble match is going on last, and we're all going to get in a frenzy when the countdown begins. It's a wrestling fandom staple.
