Predicting The First 10 AEW World Champions

9. Jon Moxley

AEW Chris Jericho
AEW

Jon Moxley was the hottest wrestler on the planet up until a few days ago. Some might argue that he has now been overtaken by Kota Ibushi after his G1 Climax triumph. Irrespective of this, the former Dean Ambrose remains firmly in the zeitgeist, and there's no reason to believe this will change anytime soon.

All Out sees the 'Purveyor of Violence' going head-to-head with Kenny Omega. That clash has "firecracker" written all over it, and Moxley should prevail. Yes, Omega is effectively AEW's ace, but his opponent has too much going for him at the moment. He's wrestling's hot, cool thing right now. The promotion would be wise to take advantage of this rather than having him fall to Kenny (though this writer is optimistic about AEW's ability to get people over in defeat).

Victory in All Out's likely pre-main event would propel Moxley into the title scene and a violent, scrappy feud with Chris Jericho. After 'Y2J' notches a couple of TV title defences, him and Mox cand throw down on AEW's next pay-per-view, delivering a heated, intense brawl across the arena floor, leading to Mox's triumph.
